Glenn Rodgers trading as ClipLaunch, 22 Richmond Street, Barnstaple EX32 7DP · hello@cliplaunch.io
These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use ClipLaunch: the website, the studio, and the MCP server your agent connects to. Please read them with the privacy policy and the refund policy, which are part of them.
1. Who we are
ClipLaunch is run by Glenn Rodgers, a sole trader trading as ClipLaunch, at 22 Richmond Street, Barnstaple EX32 7DP, United Kingdom. “We” and “us” in these terms mean Glenn Rodgers. You can reach us at hello@cliplaunch.io.
2. Who can use ClipLaunch
You must be 18 or over to use ClipLaunch. It is for consumers and businesses. If you use it for a business, you confirm you may accept these terms for that business, and some parts below apply to you differently, as they say.
Your account is for you. Keep your sign-in and your agent keys safe. Anything an agent does with your key or your connection, including spending credits, counts as done by you. You can revoke a key or disconnect an agent in Settings at any time.
3. Credits
Every paid action in ClipLaunch costs credits. The studio shows the price before you spend, and agents can ask for it first. Current prices are on the pricing page. A price change never touches credits you already hold or a job already priced. Prices are in US dollars, and VAT is added at checkout where it applies.
- Credits have no cash value. They can't be transferred, sold or swapped for money, except as the refund policy says.
- Credits from packs and auto top-ups last 12 months from the day you buy them.
- Plan credits last to the end of the billing month they are given for.
- New accounts get 200 free credits, once per email address. The welcome credits last 30 days and pay for our own features only, which is everything except image and video generation. Image and video generation unlock with your first purchase. Disposable email addresses get no welcome credits.
- When you spend, the credits that expire soonest go first. Credits that expire are gone and aren't refunded.
- If a paid job fails, its credits go back to your balance.
- For the first 7 days after your first purchase, image and video generation is limited to 5,000 credits a day. This protects you and us from card fraud.
Each account includes storage for your files, as the pricing page shows. Above it, your files cost 10 credits per GB a month, taken a day at a time. If your balance reaches zero while you're over, uploads and new renders wait until you buy credits or delete files. We never delete your files for this.
4. Plans and auto top-up
A plan renews every month until you cancel it, and each month's credits arrive when that month's payment goes through. An upgrade applies at once: you pay a prorated share of the difference for the rest of the month and get the matching share of the extra credits straight away. A downgrade or a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep the plan and its credits until then. You manage your plan on the Billing page.
If a payment fails, our payment provider, Stripe, tries again. No new plan credits arrive until the payment goes through, and if it stays unpaid the plan's extra storage and limits stop.
Auto top-up is optional. When it is on and your balance runs out, we charge your saved card for the block you chose, at your plan's rate if you have one. It never spends more in a calendar month than the monthly cap you set, which starts at $50. You can change the cap or turn auto top-up off on the Billing page at any time. If your card is declined or your bank asks you to approve a payment, auto top-up turns off and we email you a link to pay.
5. Your right to cancel
If you buy as a consumer, the law normally gives you 14 days to cancel a contract for digital content (the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Credits are digital content, and you can use them the moment you pay. So at checkout you ask us to supply your credits at once, and you agree that you lose the 14-day right to cancel once you use any of them.
Until you use any of them, you can still cancel within 14 days of buying and get your money back. The refund policy explains how this works for packs and for plans, and how to ask.
None of this affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If something we supply is faulty or not as described, tell us and we will put it right, or refund you where we can't.
6. What you may not make or do
We answer to our providers for how ClipLaunch is used, so we hold everyone to these rules. Don't use ClipLaunch to make, upload or share anything that:
- is unlawful, or infringes anyone's copyright, trade marks, privacy or other rights;
- deceives people, such as scams, false claims in an ad, made-up reviews, fake news or impersonation;
- sexualises, exploits or harms anyone under 18, or is aimed at children;
- is sexual or intimate imagery of a real person made or shared without their consent;
- harasses, threatens or demeans people, or encourages violence, self-harm or hatred;
- is a deepfake of a real person: showing a real, identifiable person saying or doing something they didn't.
Also:
- Get consent from anyone whose face or voice you use, in uploads, references or prompts.
- Don't use ClipLaunch to identify, recognise or verify people.
- Don't put sensitive personal information, such as health details, about you or anyone else in prompts.
- Don't try to get round a content filter or safety check, ours or a provider's.
- Don't use ClipLaunch or its outputs to train, fine-tune or benchmark AI models.
- Don't resell access, share your account, overload the service, or copy or take apart its code.
- Don't do anything the model providers' own rules forbid, including Google's Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy and OpenAI's usage policies.
7. AI content
ClipLaunch makes images, video, voices, music and words with AI models. Image and video generation in ClipLaunch runs on Higgsfield. Voices come from OpenAI and Google, music from Google Lyria, and transcripts from Deepgram and OpenAI. Outputs are made by AI, and AI gets things wrong, so check every output before you publish it, above all any claim an ad makes.
- Where a platform or the law asks you to, label it as AI content when you publish it.
- Keep any AI-disclosure, watermark or provenance marks (such as Content Credentials) a provider puts in a file. Don't remove, change or hide them. Not every file carries one.
- Don't present an AI voice as a human voice, or say that any AI output was made by a person.
8. Promos
Capture and upload only pages, screens and recordings you have the right to use: your own product, or with the owner's permission. Page capture reads public pages only: it never signs in, and never clicks anything that could buy, send or agree to something. Nothing from behind a login goes into a promo unless you send it yourself.
The words and numbers in a promo come from your pages and screens, so captured text is the site's own. We don't make up figures or reviews, and you are responsible for every claim your promo makes being true and yours to use.
9. Your content and your outputs
You keep the rights in what you upload. You let us store it, process it and send it to our providers only to do what you ask, and to keep the service safe. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
The images, videos, voices, music and renders you make are yours to use, including commercially, subject to the providers' terms and to how far the law lets anyone own AI output. Outputs may not be unique: someone else may get something similar. We don't use your content to train AI models. One of our providers, Higgsfield, may; the privacy policy says how.
The studio itself, its templates, graphics and code, stay ours. You may use them in the videos you make with ClipLaunch.
10. Reports and takedowns
To report something made or shared with ClipLaunch, write to hello@cliplaunch.io with a link or a description and why it should come down. We remove validly reported non-consensual intimate imagery, and any identical copies we hold, within 48 hours of the report. We look at every other report promptly and take down what breaks the law or these terms.
11. Suspension, closing and deleting your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or puts other people or our providers at risk. We will tell you why unless the law or safety stops us. If we close your account when you haven't broken these terms, we refund the credits you paid for and haven't used (see the refund policy). If we close it because it broke these terms, its unused credits aren't refunded.
If you dispute a payment with your bank, we freeze the account while the dispute is open: no new paid work, no purchases and no auto top-up. If the dispute is closed in our favour, the account opens again, and auto top-up stays off until you turn it back on. If the bank refunds you, the credits from that payment are taken back and the account stays closed to purchases and paid work. Write to hello@cliplaunch.io to sort it out.
You can delete your account in Settings at any time. We confirm by email first, cancel any plan, and delete your files and account. You can't delete it while a paid job is still running: wait for the job to finish, then try again. Unused credits end with the account. Before you delete it, you can write to hello@cliplaunch.io for a pro rata refund of the credits you paid for and haven't used. Free credits, such as the welcome credits, aren't refunded (see the refund policy).
We may change or retire features as ClipLaunch grows. If we stop offering ClipLaunch altogether, we will tell you in good time and refund the credits you paid for and haven't used (see the refund policy).
12. Our responsibility to you
We work to keep ClipLaunch running well, but we can't promise it is never interrupted, and generation depends on our providers. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, and these terms don't take away your legal rights.
If you are a business, we are not responsible for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, or for indirect loss. Our total responsibility to you is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100. You will cover our reasonable costs from a claim against us caused by your content or by your breaking these terms.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when the law, our providers or our features change. The date at the top says when they last changed. We email you at least 30 days before a change that affects existing users takes effect. A change needed for security or by law can take effect at once. If you don't agree, write to hello@cliplaunch.io before the change takes effect and close your account, and we refund the credits you paid for and haven't used (see the refund policy).
14. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can hear any dispute. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring a claim in your local courts, and you keep any consumer protection the law where you live gives you.
If something goes wrong, please write to hello@cliplaunch.io first. We will try to put it right.
